Der amerikanische Journalist Lincoln Steffens (1866 bis 1936) bereiste zwischen 1919 und 1921 die damalige Sowjetunion und berichtete euphorisch vom Marxismus-Leninismus:<\/p>\n

Ist es Hasso Plattner \u00e4hnlich ergangen, als er durch das Silicon Valley streifte und all die Prachtbauten von Apple, Facebook und Google sah? Sind diese cloudbasierten Gesch\u00e4ftsmodelle f\u00fcr Plattner die Zukunft?<\/p>

Die Kolchosen \u2013 die landwirtschaftlichen Gro\u00dfbetriebe der Sowjetunion \u2013 waren f\u00fcr Lincoln Steffens das gesegnet Land und die glorreiche Zukunft.<\/p>\n

Die historische Entwicklung zeigt etwas anderes: Es gilt zwischen technischer Machbarkeit, Modetrends und Nachhaltigkeit zu unterscheiden.<\/p>\n

SAP hat interessante Cloud-L\u00f6sungen, aber nicht alles, was technisch machbar ist, ist auch wirtschaftlich sinnvoll. Momentan zahlt SAP einen extrem hohen Preis, um den Modetrend Cloud Computing auszuleben \u2013 es werden neue Megatrends kommen und bei fehlender Strategie beginnt dann wieder eine neue Diskussion.<\/p>\n

SAP wird mit Cloud Computing scheitern, weil andere IT-Unternehmen naturgem\u00e4\u00df schneller, agiler, schlanker oder gr\u00f6\u00dfer sind \u2013 achten Sie auf den Skaleneffekt!<\/p>\n

Das hei\u00dft aber nicht, dass SAP-Software nicht geeignet f\u00fcr das Cloud Computing ist. Es gibt erfolgreiche Installationen von ERP\/ECC 6.0 Business Suite 7 bei zahlreichen Cloud-Anbietern.<\/p>\n

Nur in die Hana Enterprise Cloud will kaum jemand. Die Anstrengungen und Investitionen, die SAP seit Jahren unternimmt, bringen nur wenig zur\u00fcck.<\/p>\n

SAP hat sich mit Google, Amazon und Microsoft auf einen Vergleich und Wettkampf eingelassen, der aufgrund der Gr\u00f6\u00dfenverh\u00e4ltnisse nur zuungunsten von SAP ausgehen kann \u2013 und am anderen Ende der Cloud-Skala droht nun weitere Gefahr:<\/p>\n

Siemens, Bosch, Atos und andere bauen spezialisierte Industrie-Clouds f\u00fcr IoT und M2M. Diese Indus\u00adtrie-4.0-Clouds werden keine Preisschlacht mit dem Cloud-Angebot von SAP beginnen. Sie sind aber spezialisierter als HEC und HCP und damit wahrscheinlich besser f\u00fcr die digitale Transformation geeignet.<\/p>\n

SAP sollte das wissen, denn mit Hybris hat man ein \u00e4hnlich hoch spezialisiertes Produkt im Angebot \u2013 und man ist damit erfolgreich. Ariba, Concur und SuccessFactors befriedigen das quantitative Cloud-Wachstum von SAP. Man zahlt daf\u00fcr aber einen verr\u00fcckt hohen Preis.<\/p>\n

SAP scheint blind zu sei:<\/h3>\n

Aber mit einem gro\u00dfen Sprung nach vorn will man bis 2020 nicht nur das Cloud Computing etablieren, sondern bis 2025 auch S\/4 und Hana.<\/p>\n

\u201eGro\u00dfer Sprung nach vorn\u201c war der Name f\u00fcr eine von Mao Zedong initiierte, von 1958 bis 1961 laufende Kampagne. Mithilfe dieser Kampagne sollten die drei gro\u00dfen Unterschiede Land und Stadt, Kopf und Hand sowie Industrie und Landwirtschaft eingeebnet, der R\u00fcckstand zu den westlichen Industriel\u00e4ndern aufgeholt werden.<\/p>\n

Das SAP-Vorhaben erscheint \u00e4hnlich: Es gilt die Unterschiede zwischen on-premise und on-demand, zwischen Lizenzen und Subskription sowie zwischen Software-Modulen (inkl. Versionswechsel) und App-Entwicklung (Continuous Improvement) aufzuheben.<\/p>\n

Die Zukunft reduziert sich aus Sicht von SAP auf Hana, S\/4 und Cloud Computing \u2013 nicht viel, wenn man die Heterogenit\u00e4t der globalen SAP-Community und die divergierenden W\u00fcnsche der SAP-Bestandskunden kennt.<\/p>\n

Zweimal scheiterte das Vorhaben der Vereinheitlichung und Gleichschaltung, einmal in den Kolchosen der Sowjetunion und einmal beim Gro\u00dfen Sprung nach vorn bei Mao Zedong.<\/p>\n
