Die SAP-Bestandskunden haben sich naturgem\u00e4\u00df Cloud Computing ganz anders vorgestellt, als es SAP jetzt verwirklichen will \u2013 ohne Exit-Strategie und mit einer lebenslangen Verpflichtung. Auch hier erlebt die SAP-Community eine schmerzhafte Erkenntnis: Cloud only der SAP ist nicht mehr zeitgem\u00e4\u00df. Lediglich hybride Modelle werden \u00fcberleben, denn nirgends gibt es eine Entweder-oder-Entscheidung, ein Schwarz oder Wei\u00df. Die Welt ist bunt, auch wenn die Hana-Maschine in unserer Illustration schwarzen Rauch verbreitet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aktuell steht es nicht gut um das Beziehungsmanagement zwischen SAP und der E-3 Chefredaktion. Anfang dieses Jahres erlaubte sich ein E-3 Autor, die Frage zu formulieren, wie zeitgem\u00e4\u00df Hana und S\/4 seien. Ein Aufschrei ging durch SAP und den Anwenderverein DSAG. Das Telefon unseres Autors schrillte einen Tag durchgehend sehr nerv\u00f6s. Es war eine logische Frage, die noch keine Antwort hat: Wie zeitgem\u00e4\u00df sind die Anwendungen Hana und S\/4 am Ende des Customizing?

Geht es gut, wird ein Gro\u00dfteil der SAP-Community ab 2027 produktiv mit S\/4 Hana unterwegs sein. In einigen F\u00e4llen k\u00f6nnte es auch 2030 werden, dann ist das \u201eneue\u201c ERP S\/4 bereits 15 Jahre alt. Aktuell hat SAP jede Aussage \u00fcber einen S\/4-Nachfolger verweigert. F\u00fcr eine rudiment\u00e4re Zehnjahresplanung muss sich aber SAP bis 2025 offenbaren, um nicht noch mehr Bestandskunden an die Cloud-Mitbewerber zu verlieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cloud, das gro\u00dfe Mysterium bei SAP: Unter Ex-SAP-CEO Bill McDermott (siehe Illustration) war die Aussage Cloud only vorgegeben, weil er ein Cloud-Unternehmen nach dem anderen aufkaufte. Es fehlte sowohl an Strategie als auch an Integration, aber McDermott beherrschte vorbildhaft das Narrativ und stellte somit zumindest die Finanzanalysten zufrieden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weitsichtig erkannte Professor Hasso Plattner die Gefahr eines ungez\u00fcgelten und unkoordinierten Cloud-Wachstums. Er wusste und sp\u00fcrte es: Viele SAP-Bestandskunden brauchen und w\u00fcnschen sich einen Weiterbestand der erfolgreichen SAP-Werte \u2013 Integration!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

McDermott-Nachfolger Christian Klein h\u00f6rte auf die Signale der SAP-Bestandskunden und begann mit einem neuen und jungen Vorstand, die Altlasten und Baustellen der Vergangenheit aufzur\u00e4umen. Und immer \u00f6fters h\u00f6rte die SAP-Community \u201eCloud first\u201c statt \u201eCloud only\u201c. Ein kleiner, aber entscheidender Strategieschwenk. SAP wurde neu eingeordnet: Cloud blieb das Ziel, aber nicht mit der Brechstange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die erste SAP-Pressekonferenz im neuen Jahr brachte wieder die Ern\u00fcchterung: SAP-Chef Christian Klein und Noch-CFO (Cloud Financial Officer) Luka Mucic sprachen wieder von Cloud only. Dieser Strategieschwenk ist doppelt schmerzhaft: Einerseits besitzt SAP keine technische Cloud-Computing-Kompetenz wie AWS, Google oder Microsoft und andererseits vertrauen die SAP-Bestandskunden dem Rise in die Cloud kaum. Eine aktuelle DSAG-Umfrage hat wieder einmal best\u00e4tigt, dass die Anwender vom Konzept Rise with SAP nicht \u00fcberzeugt sind. Also ohne Rise in eine hybride Cloud, aber wie und wo? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
