SAP hat ein Glaubw\u00fcrdigkeitsproblem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SAP will eine Cloud Company werden, hat aber im besten Fall nicht mehr zu bieten als Microsoft, Amazon oder Google. SAP redet viel \u00fcber Cloud Computing, besitzt auf diesem Feld aber kein Alleinstellungsmerkmal. Dort, wo SAP einzigartig ist, gibt es kaum Beachtung f\u00fcr das Angebot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das SAP-Produkt Billing and Revenue Innovation Management (on-prem) und das etwas leistungsschw\u00e4chere SAP-Cloud-Pendant Subscription Billing sind anerkannte Alleinstellungsmerkmale. Einer der f\u00fchrenden BRIM-Experten im deutschsprachigen Raum ist der SAP-Partner GTW, siehe auch E-3 Coverstory vom Oktober<\/span><\/a> dieses Jahres.<\/p>

Anl\u00e4sslich des DSAG-Jahreskongresses in Leipzig berichtete ich SAP-Vorstand Thomas Saueressig vom erfolgreichen BRIM-Projekt bei der Schweizerischen Post. Innerhalb von Sekunden ergab sich ein lebhaftes Gespr\u00e4ch. Thomas Saueressig wusste sofort Bescheid und best\u00e4tigte den Erfolg und die strategische Bedeutung von BRIM. Es enstand die Idee, eventuell mehr \u00fcber die BRIM-L\u00f6sung zu berichten – auch wenn diese momentan noch nicht Cloud-f\u00e4hig ist und damit vielleicht nicht zu 100 Prozent in die “SAP-Philosophie” passt. Thomas Saueressig vermittelte den Eindruck, dass er den Wunsch gerne ber\u00fccksichtigt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es gab somit am DSAG-Jahreskongress in Leipzig mit Wohlwollen aus dem SAP-Vorstand ein Treffen zwischen den Beteiligten. Aber auch gut gewollte Kommunikationsarbeit kann destruktiv sein, wenn keine konkreten Schritte erfolgen. Die Worte von Thomas Saueressig anl\u00e4sslich des Treffens in Leipzig zwischen dem Vorstand und dem E-3 Magazin erscheinen wenig glaubw\u00fcrdig. Was ist schiefgelaufen?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Insider werden wenig \u00fcberrascht und dennoch entsetzt sein: Wenn etwas nicht in das offizielle SAP-Bild passt \u2013 wie in diesem Fall ein erfolgreiches On-prem-Produkt \u2013 dann wird das Thema so lange nach unten delegiert, bis es versandet und wieder Ruhe einkehrt. Entsetzt werden alle Beteiligten sein, die um den Wertbeitrag von BRIM wissen. Kaum ein anderes SAP-Produkt sp\u00fclt kontinuierlich so viel Umsatz in die SAP-Kasse wie BRIM. Hier wird nach Belegen abgerechnet und nach erfolgreichem Customizing klingelt der Geldbeutel bei SAP ohne Ende. Selbst in den gewohnt kritischen Kreisen der DSAG e.V. sind die Experten von der Qualit\u00e4t des SAP-Produkts BRIM \u00fcberzeugt, machen jedoch auf die hohen Kosten aufmerksam, die sich kaum ein Unternehmen aus dem Mittelstand leisten kann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

F\u00fcr die SAP-Community ist das SAP\u2019sche Desinteresse ein Kulturschock. Kommunikationsarbeit muss konsistent sein. Das Mittelmanagement und Heerscharen von Assistenten d\u00fcrfen den SAP-Vorstand nicht ausbremsen. Am Ende findet sich ein unglaubw\u00fcrdiger, wenig verl\u00e4sslicher und damit besch\u00e4digter Vorstand. Kommunikationsarbeit ist nur dann relevant, wenn diese auch glaubw\u00fcrdig ist. Das Engagement von SAP-Partnern und die Bereitschaft des Vorstands sind relevant f\u00fcr den Erfolg der gesamten SAP-Community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
