SAP Human Capital Management for S\/4 Hana (H4\/S4) ist der lang angek\u00fcndigte Nachfolger der SAP ERP HCM OnPremise Payroll, die 2027 aus der SAP Standard Maintenance auslaufen wird. Weitere drei Jahre Karenzzeit bis 2030 ergeben sich mit der Extended Maintenance. Seit Oktober 2022 ist H4\/S4 verf\u00fcgbar, um den Anwendern die gewohnte Nutzeroberfl\u00e4che und Funktionalit\u00e4ten bis 2040 weiter zur Verf\u00fcgung zu stellen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nun sind die ersten Transition-Projekte in der Umsetzung und viele Anwenderunternehmen verfolgen die ersten Erfahrungsberichte aufmerksam. Jedoch handelt es sich hierbei lediglich um eine Br\u00fcckentechnologie, welche den SAP-Bestandskunden Zeit verschafft zur vollst\u00e4ndigen HR-Cloud-Transformation. Viele Funktionalit\u00e4ten sind f\u00fcr den \u00f6ffentlichen Dienst angedacht. Ebenfalls setzt SAP mit der Abweichung von \u201eCloud-First-\u201c zu einer \u201eCloud-Only-Strategie\u201c den Investitionsfokus auf die eigenen Cloud-Produkte. Dazu geh\u00f6ren SAP SuccessFactors (SFSF) und die dazugeh\u00f6rige Employee Central Payroll (ECP) als auch die SAP HCM Private Cloud Edition.<\/p>

Payroll in der Cloud <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Nun stellt sich die strategische Frage: Br\u00fcckentechnologie oder Schritt mit der Payroll in die Cloud? Die richtige Entscheidung zu treffen wird zus\u00e4tzlich beeinflusst von verschiedenen Betrachtungsdimensionen wie den technischen, funktionalen als auch organisatorischen Kriterien der Organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speziell f\u00fcr Anwender, die SuccessFactors Employee Central im Einsatz haben und eine hybride Systemlandschaft betreiben, wird die Pr\u00fcfung der ECP unerl\u00e4sslich. Durch Lift-und-Shift-Projektans\u00e4tze k\u00f6nnen mit softwaregest\u00fctzter Migration die Systemparametrisierungen eins zu eins ins neue System \u00fcbertragen werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hierbei gelten die Limitierungen der ECP-Instanz im Vergleich zur alten On-prem-Welt f\u00fcr die Funktionalit\u00e4ten rund um das Modul der BAV sowie f\u00fcr spezifische Systemkomponenten des \u00f6ffentlichen Diensts (zum Beispiel VADM) und f\u00fcr die positive Zeitwirtschaft. Letztere kann mit 3rd-Party-Tools oder auch SuccessFactors Time Tracking ersetzt werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alte Z\u00f6pfe abschneiden <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Anwenderunternehmen sollten bei einer zuk\u00fcnftigen Systemmigration die Chance nutzen. Es gibt selten einen besseren Zeitpunkt, um die aktuelle Konfiguration und Anwendungen auf den Pr\u00fcfstand zu stellen und alte Z\u00f6pfe abzuschneiden. Ebenso k\u00f6nnen gleichzeitig neue Funktionalit\u00e4ten erg\u00e4nzt und die HR-IT-Landschaft modernisiert werden und so sinnvoll gleichzeitig auf SAP-Standards zur\u00fcck-gef\u00fchrt werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Ob eine On-prem-H4\/S4-Migration zum Schutz der get\u00e4tigten Investition im Transition-Projekt nun g\u00fcnstiger ist als Lift und Shift mit ECP durchzuf\u00fchren, wird die Zukunft zeigen.
