Cloud Computing ist nicht gleich Cloud Computing. SAP-Chef Christian Klein hat mit seiner Aussage \u201eCloud only\u201c wahrscheinlich recht, nur was SAP als Cloud Computing anbietet, ist bestenfalls Lift und Shift. Harro von Senger hat in seinem sehr lesenswerten Buch \u201e36 Strategeme f\u00fcr Manager\u201c die Situation mit Strategem Nummer eins, \u201eVerschleierungs- und auch Tarnkappenstrategem genannt\u201c, perfekt beschrieben:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Den Kaiser t\u00e4uschen, indem man ihn in ein Haus am Meeresstrand einl\u00e4dt, das in Wirklichkeit ein verkleidetes Schiff ist, und ihn so dazu veranlassen, das Meer zu \u00fcberqueren.<\/p>

Christian Klein ist nicht der erste SAP-CEO, der dieses Verschleierungsstrategem auf den Kaiser, also die Bestandskunden, anwendet. Auch Professor Henning Kagermann, siehe Illustration, versuchte bereits, die SAP-Anwender mit zahlreichen Angeboten wie ESA, mySAP.com und NetWeaver zu t\u00e4uschen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harro von Senger schreibt dazu in seinem Buch: \u201eIn unserem europ\u00e4ischen Kulturkreis m\u00fcssen wir lernen, listensensibler zu sein und die List nicht von vornherein zu verteufeln, sondern sie als etwas zum Alltag Geh\u00f6rendes anzuerkennen. Im Chinesischen wird \u00fcbrigens f\u00fcr das Wort List und Weisheit dasselbe Schriftzeichen benutzt.\u201c Harro von Senger ist emeritierter Professor f\u00fcr Sinologie der Albert-Ludwigs-Universit\u00e4t in Freiburg im Breisgau und Experte f\u00fcr chinesisches Recht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mit der Aussage \u201eCloud only\u201c beschreibt Christian Klein einen Idealzustand, in dem eine Applikation aus der Cloud von vielen Anwendern gleichzeitig und auf Basis eines Releases genutzt wird. Diese Situation findet sich bei vielen Cloud-native-Anbietern und beweist den Mehrwert eines standardisierten Systems. Auch bei Cloud-native-Anwendungen von SAP wie Concure, SuccessFactors oder Ariba finden sich diese cloudtypischen Vorteile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der ECC-Nachfolger S\/4 ist aber kein Cloud-native-Produkt. Bei der Pr\u00e4sentation 2015 von Klein-Vorg\u00e4nger Bill McDermott war niemals die Rede von Cloud Computing. Erst im Nachgang wurde das On-prem-Produkt S\/4 mit Lift und Shift in die Cloud gehoben. Diese Tatsache verschleiert Christian Klein sehr gerne. S\/4 ist im Kern ein klassisches ERP f\u00fcr das eigene Rechenzentrum mit Outsourcing- und Hosting-Optionen durch Hyperscaler. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
