Mit dieser sehr speziellen Interpretation von Cloud only verunsicherte SAP-Chef Christian Klein seine Bestandskunden nachhaltig. Auch wenn damit nicht gesagt wurde, dass SAP On-prem-L\u00f6sungen funktional nicht weiterentwickelt: Von den gro\u00dfen Neuerungen wie k\u00fcnstlicher Intelligenz und Green Ledger, sogar von Erweiterungen und gr\u00f6\u00dferen Services auf der Business Technology Platform (BTP), werden sie nicht profitieren k\u00f6nnen. Zwar ist auch f\u00fcr die Mehrzahl der Anwender der Weg in die Cloud alternativlos \u2013 82 Prozent der Unternehmen in Deutschland und \u00d6sterreich nutzen die Cloud bereits f\u00fcr produktive Anwendungen \u2013,einen \u201eCloud first\u201c- oder \u201eCloud only\u201c-Ansatz verfolgen bisher aber nur wenige. Der Gro\u00dfteil der im Rahmen einer IDC-Studie befragten IT-Entscheider setzt auf hybride L\u00f6sungen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transformation jetzt beginnen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dieser \u201esanfte\u201c Umstieg \u00fcber hybride Zwischenl\u00f6sungen ist von SAP durchaus gewollt. Beinhaltet doch das Angebots-paket Rise with SAP etwa zu diesem Zweck eine grundlegende SAP-BTP-Lizenzierung. Trotzdem stellt sich f\u00fcr alle On-premises-Nutzer die Frage, welcher Weg in die Cloud f\u00fcr das eigene Unternehmen der beste ist. Dabei geht es neben der Transformation von Prozessen, Datensilos und Z-Entwicklungen auch darum, das daf\u00fcr ben\u00f6tigte Geld zukunftssicher auszugeben. Daher mein Rat: Beginnen Sie jetzt, Know-how aufzubauen. Die SAP-Architekturen werden sehr schnell hybrid, darum starten Sie heute mit Proofs of Concept, mit Schulungen oder kleineren Projekten, um sich und Ihr Team cloud-ready zu machen. Das ist kein \u201ewolkiger\u201c Marketingbegriff, dabei geht es um Wissen. Und der Erwerb braucht Zeit, weil die Lernkurve steil ist, das kann ich aus eigener Erfahrung sagen. Aber es ist notwendig, denn \u2013 das hat Christian Klein eindeutig klargemacht \u2013 die Zukunft (von SAP) liegt in der Cloud.<\/p>

Think Cloud!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Darum \u00fcberlegen Sie jetzt (nicht erst sp\u00e4ter), wie Sie Ihre Prozesse in die Cloud transformieren wollen, und ber\u00fccksichtigen Sie, dass auf dem Weg dorthin eventuell hybride Zwischenl\u00f6sungen n\u00f6tig sind. Lassen Sie dabei das Kernsystem in Ruhe (Keep the Digital Core Clean), Erweiterungen haben dort nichts verloren und Sie haben in Zukunft vermutlich keinen Zugriff mehr darauf. Nutzen Sie die Fea-tures der Cloud-Architektur wie Skalierbarkeit, Security, Multi Tenant Apps, Fiori und moderne Softwareentwicklungsmethoden, die on-premises ohnehin nicht in der gleichen Wertigkeit umsetzbar sind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Never without BTP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Zum heftigen Anstieg der erw\u00e4hnten Lernkurve tragen auch neue, echt komplexe Architekturen bei. Stellen Sie sich auf Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) ein und machen Sie sich auch mit Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS: AWS, Google und Co.) und Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) vertraut. Letzteres \u2013 Sie ahnen es \u2013 meint die Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), auf der Sie eine Vielzahl angebotener Services wie SaaS oder Applikation kombinieren k\u00f6nnen. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist es auch ratsam, Erweiterungen mithilfe von Steampunk (RAP) und CAP auf der BTP zu realisieren. Lernen Sie auch die unterschiedlichen Gesamtkosten in der Umsetzung kennen. Das eine oder andere Rechenbeispiel f\u00fcr die TCO wird Sie positiv \u00fcberraschen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
