Als Anfang der 2010er-Jahre Kundenanfragen zum Thema SAP und Cloud konkreter wurden, waren cloudbasierte Services au\u00dferhalb des SAP-Universums schon l\u00e4ngst eine Selbstverst\u00e4ndlichkeit. 2013 brachte SAP mit der Hana Cloud Platform und dem Neo-Environment eine pro\u00adpriet\u00e4re Umgebung auf den Markt, die aber nicht die erhoffte Resonanz fand. Ab 2017 lie\u00dfen sich mit der SAP Cloud Platform tats\u00e4chlich verschiedenste Integrationsszenarien \u2013 auch mit Non-SAP-Produkten \u2013 zen\u00adtral verwalten, betreiben und monitoren. Damit brachten wir begeistert erste Kundenprojekte in die Cloud. Unser Vorgehen war zwangsl\u00e4ufig iterativ, Best-Practice-Beispiele und ernst zu nehmende Dokumentationen gab es nicht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SAP \u00f6ffnet sich mit BTP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

2021 kam schlie\u00dflich BTP, mit der sehr vieles sehr viel besser wurde. Wesentlichste, weil zugleich revolution\u00e4rste Neuerung war die \u00d6ffnung f\u00fcr die Infrastruktur anderer Anbieter. BTP kann bei verschiedenen Hyperscalern gehostet werden, was beachtliche Synergieeffekte nach sich ziehen kann. Zugleich liegt der Fokus auf einer engen ERP- bzw. S\/4-Integration, SAP bietet also entsprechende Erweiterungskonzepte, Laufzeitumgebungen und Con\u00adtent (bis hin zu Industry Solutions) an. Mit dem Einsatz von Cloud Foundry und Kyma wurden zudem Industriestandards eta\u00adbliert \u2013 was die Investitionssicherheit und Flexibilit\u00e4t f\u00fcr SAP-Bestandskunden erh\u00f6ht. Zus\u00e4tzlich \u2013 Revolution Nummer zwei \u2013 k\u00f6nnen BTP-Nutzer entscheiden, welche Programmiersprache sie verwenden. Neben den Standards Java, JavaScript, Node.js oder dem KI-affinen Python gilt gar das Prinzip \u201eBring Your Own Language\u201c. Assets, die den Anforderungen heutiger IT-Landschaften gerecht werden.<\/p>

Abap in der Cloud?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nat\u00fcrlich hat sich SAP nicht von Abap verabschiedet. Damit Abap in der Cloud funktioniert, mussten die Walldorfer allerdings problematische Elemente deaktivieren und mit (Embedded) Steampunk ein geeignetes Environment aufsetzen. Mit dem modellgetriebenen RAP lassen sich damit auf der Grundlage von RESTful-Prinzipien serviceorientierte Anwendungen entwickeln. Und schlie\u00dflich steht mit SAP CAP ein Programmiermodell zur Verf\u00fcgung, um cloudbasierte Anwendungen auf Basis g\u00e4ngiger Programmiersprachen \u2013 g\u00e4nzlich ohne Abap \u2013 zu erstellen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revolution Nummer drei<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Reine CAP-Anwendung digitale Unterschriftenmappe: Wir haben mit dem SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) unser Produkt digitale Unterschriftenmappe als Cloud-Version vollst\u00e4ndig neu entwickelt. Unser Fazit: Das Framework stellt alle notwendigen Programmierwerkzeuge zur Verf\u00fcgung, um gesch\u00e4ftskritische Anwendungen sehr schnell zu konzipieren und zu generieren. Bei der Realisierung haben wir wichtige Erfahrungen gemacht, die uns auch bei einem aktuellen Kundenprojekt geholfen haben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualit\u00e4tsmanagement powered by BTP mit Low-Code und CAP: Unser Kunde Agrana beliefert die weiterverarbeitende Nahrungsmittelindustrie weltweit mit Frucht, St\u00e4rke und Zucker. Die neue, global an
55 Standorten einsetzbare Qualit\u00e4tsmanagementl\u00f6sung haben wir auf BTP mit CAP realisiert. Acht Monate nach Beginn der Konzeption waren die ersten Teilapplikationen produktiv einsetzbar. Dank der Verwendung von Scrum und relevanten BTP-Services \u2013 unter anderem SAP Work Zone, PostgresSQL, Cloud Foundry, CAP, SAP BAS, SAP CI\/CD und SAP Cloud Transport Management \u2013 sowie der automatisierten \u00dcbersetzung von Texten und Stammdaten in 16 Sprachen mittels DeepL ist die Applikation richtig kosteneffizient. Mit der Einbettung in die vorhandene Microsoft-Azure-AD-Umgebung mit Office 365\/Exchange haben wir uns die Offenheit der BTP zunutze gemacht und damit auch den geforderten Single Point of Entry kundenfreundlich realisiert. Mit agilen Methoden und den neuesten SAP Cloud Services (BTP, RAP und CAP) lassen sich extrem schnell und kosteng\u00fcnstig marktf\u00e4hige L\u00f6sungen realisieren, die dar\u00fcber hinaus den Clean-Core-Entwicklungsrichtlinien gen\u00fcgen. Kurzum: BTP is the Choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
