Die renommierte University of Oxford bekommt einen neuen nationalen Deep-Learning-Supercomputer. Lieferant ist Atos, ein international f\u00fchrendes Unternehmen digitaler Services.<\/p>\n

Wissenschaftler und Unternehmen in Gro\u00dfbritannien k\u00f6nnen damit im Rahmen des Jade1-Projekts (Joint Academic Data science Endeavour) Deep-Learning-Anwendungen entwickeln und testen sowie Machbarkeitsstudien durchf\u00fchren.<\/p>

Der Supercomputer, finanziert vom Engineering and Physical Sciences Re\u00adsearch Council, wird \u00fcber ein Deep-Learning-as-a-Service-(DLaaS)-Modell bereitgestellt. Er basiert auf Nvidia-Grafikprozessoren (GPUs) und der Extreme-Factory-Technologie von Atos.<\/p>\n

Dadurch entsteht eine \u00f6ffentliche Deep Learning Cloud. Das k\u00fcrzlich von der britischen Regierung ins Leben gerufene Alan Turing Institute, das auf nationaler Ebene die Forschung in k\u00fcnstlicher Intelligenz (KI) voranbringen soll, wird einer der Hauptnutzer des neuen Services sein. Dadurch kann das Institut sowohl Wirtschaft als auch Wissenschaft den Zugriff auf aktuelle Technologien zur kognitiven Analyse anbieten.<\/p>\n

Der Anwendungsbereich f\u00fcr Deep Lear\u00adning reicht von der automatischen Spracherkennung \u00fcber autonome Fahrzeuge bis hin zur Bildgebung im Medizinbereich. Die Technologie kann beispielsweise die Genauigkeit von Diagnosen bei der digitalen Pathologie verbessern.\"Technische<\/a><\/p>\n
