Die EU-Datenschutzgrundverordnung \u00ad(DSGVO) gilt seit Mai 2018. Laut der aktuellen Cisco Data Privacy Benchmark Study glauben 59 Prozent der befragten Unternehmen, dass sie alle oder die meisten Anforderungen erf\u00fcllen. 29 Prozent erwarten diese Compliance innerhalb eines Jahres und neun Prozent in mehr als einem Jahr.<\/p>\n

\u201eIm vergangenen Jahr hat die Bedeutung von Privatsph\u00e4re und Datenschutz deutlich zugenommen. Daten sind die neue W\u00e4hrung. Da sich der Markt ver\u00e4ndert, ziehen Unternehmen echte Gesch\u00e4ftsvorteile aus ihren Datenschutzinvestitionen\u201c<\/em><\/p>

Kunden erwarten zunehmend, dass die von ihnen genutzten Produkte und Dienstleistungen einen angemessenen Datenschutz bieten. Unternehmen, die entsprechend investiert haben und die DSGVO einhalten, profitieren von k\u00fcrzeren Verz\u00f6gerungen beim Verkauf von L\u00f6sungen an bestehende Kunden aufgrund von Datenschutzbedenken: 3,4 Wochen gegen\u00fcber 5,4 Wochen bei den am wenigsten \u00adDSGVO- konformen Unternehmen.<\/p>\n

\u00adDSGVO-konforme Unternehmen berichten von weniger Datenmissbrauch, weniger betroffenen Dokumenten bei Sicherheitsvorf\u00e4llen und k\u00fcrzeren Systemausfallzeiten. Sie hatten auch deutlich seltener einen erheblichen finanziellen Verlust durch einen Datenversto\u00df.<\/p>\n

Zudem gaben 75 Prozent der Befragten an, dass sie viele allgemeine Vorteile aus ihren Datenschutzinvestitionen ziehen. Dazu geh\u00f6ren mehr Agilit\u00e4t und Innovationen durch angemessene Datenkontrollen, Wettbewerbsvorteile und h\u00f6here Betriebseffizienz. Diese resultieren aus der Organisation und Katalogisierung von Daten.<\/p>\n

Nur 37 Prozent der DSGVO-konformen Unternehmen verzeichneten au\u00dferdem einen Datenversto\u00df, der mehr als 500.000 US-Dollar kostete, verglichen mit 64 Prozent der am wenigsten DSGVO-konformen Unternehmen.<\/p>\n
