Ob die EU ihren selbstgesteckten Zielen einer St\u00e4rkung des Digitalstandorts Europa allerdings tats\u00e4chlich gerecht wird, muss sich erst noch zeigen. Aktuell wird \u00fcber das Budgetvolumen des EU-Forschungsrahmenprogramms Horizon Europe verhandelt.<\/p>\n

Das F\u00f6rder-Cluster \u201eDigital, Industry and Space\u201c spielt hier eine entscheidende Rolle. Hier sollen all die vieldiskutierten und notwendigen IT-Technologien und -Innovationen wie etwa KI, Blockchain, Cloud Computing und Big Data im Zusammenschluss von Wirtschaft und Forschung gef\u00f6rdert werden.<\/p>

Alexander Rabe, Mitglied in der strategischen Plattform IKT des Bundesministeriums f\u00fcr Bildung und Forschung und Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer des eco \u2013 Verband der Internetwirtschaft e. V., appelliert in diesem Zusammenhang an die EU-Mitgliedsstaaten:<\/p>\n

\u201eIn den n\u00e4chsten Wochen werden im Rahmen der Verhandlungen des F\u00f6rderrahmens Horizon Europe die Weichen f\u00fcr die Zukunft des Digitalstandorts Europa gestellt. Wir erwarten, dass der strategischen Bedeutung der Internet- und Digitalwirtschaft sowie dem Stellenwert dieser Technologien und Innovationen auch in den daf\u00fcr veranschlagten Budgets Rechnung getragen wird.\u201c<\/em><\/p>\n

Den vielen Ank\u00fcndigungen und Beteuerungen auf europ\u00e4ischer Ebene hinsichtlich einer St\u00e4rkung der digitalen Leistungsf\u00e4higkeit und Souver\u00e4nit\u00e4t m\u00fcssten nun auch konkrete Impulse in der F\u00f6rderpolitik folgen.<\/p>\n

Nur so k\u00f6nne der Digitalstandort Europa international fit f\u00fcr die Zukunft gemacht werden, so Rabe weiter. \u201eEuropa muss sich im Bereich digitaler Technologien mit M\u00e4rkten in \u00dcbersee und Asien messen. Das muss sich auch in den zur Verf\u00fcgung gestellten F\u00f6rdervolumina der relevanten Cluster widerspiegeln.<\/p>\n

Ein europ\u00e4isches F\u00f6rdervolumen im Bereich ,Digital, Industry and Space\u2018 von mindestens 15 Mrd. Euro ist hier eher noch die untere Schwelle, um auf Augenh\u00f6he mit den internationalen Wettbewerbern zu agieren.<\/p>\n

In Anbetracht der aktuellen Herausforderungen w\u00e4re eine Aufstockung der Mittel hier w\u00fcnschenswert. \u00dcberdies w\u00fcrde eine solche F\u00f6rderung auch ein starkes Signal an die europ\u00e4ischen IT-Fachkr\u00e4fte senden, dass es sich lohnt, am Standort Europa zu Themen wie k\u00fcnstliche Intelligenz, High Performance Computing, Blockchain, Big Data oder Cloud Computing zu forschen und Innovationen zu entwickeln.\u201c<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
