Die Analysten von Gartner haben es erfunden: die bimodale IT. Zwei Zust\u00e4nde gleichzeitig in einem System:<\/p>\n

Modus eins ist der traditionelle Weg \u2013 langsam, sicher, evolution\u00e4r. Eine IT mit einem starken CIO, der auf Sicherheit, Budget und Stabilit\u00e4t schaut.<\/p>

Modus zwei ist das kreative Chaos. Hier darf jeder mitreden und der CIO muss es orchestrieren. Was heute gut ist, darf morgen von der Festplatte gel\u00f6scht werden.<\/p>\n

Entwicklung und Anwendung passieren gleichzeitig. Nicht mehr die Gro\u00dfen fressen die Kleinen (Modus eins), sondern die Schnellen \u00fcberholen die Langsamen (Modus zwei).<\/p>\n

In der IT-Szene ist das neue Gartner-Paradigma schwer angesagt: Planung wird durch Irrtum ersetzt. Diese bimodale IT ist einem antiautorit\u00e4ren Erziehungsstil nicht un\u00e4hnlich: Der CIO wei\u00df genau, was notwendig ist (Elternrolle), aber die Anwender (Kinderrolle) d\u00fcrfen machen, was sie wollen.<\/p>\n

Die SAP-Bestandskunden wissen genau, was gut und richtig ist. Aus einer langen R\/2- und R\/3-Leidens\u00aderfahrung sind viele mit ERP 6.0 in einem sicheren Hafen angekommen.<\/p>\n

Die Odyssee schien zu Ende zu sein, die Bestandskunden sollten keine Dulder mehr sein, wie es der arme Odysseus w\u00e4hrend seiner Irrfahrt war. Kurze Zeit schien es so, dass Walldorf ein gl\u00fccklicher Ort sein k\u00f6nnte. Dann aber erwachte der schizophrene Geist der SAP!<\/p>\n

W\u00e4hrend sich viele SAP-Bestandskunden am R\/3-Enterprise-Nachfolger ERP 6.0 erfreuten, erfand man in Walldorf neue Gemeinheiten.<\/p>\n

Einen Zufriedenheitsmodus wollte SAP nicht gelten lassen und erh\u00f6hte die j\u00e4hrliche Pflegegeb\u00fchr auf 22 Prozent, empfahl nach ESA zuerst SOA dann ESR, baute eine neue Datenbank und machte diese zur Plattform, schlie\u00dflich pr\u00e4sentierte man den Nachfolger der Business Suite 7 mit der leicht verwirrenden Bezeichnung S\/4 \u2013 eine absolut erratische Reihe: R\/2, R\/3, ERP 6.0, S\/7 und nun S\/4.<\/p>\n

Der Sorgfaltspflicht (Modus eins) der SAP-Bestandskunden stehen die disruptiven Innovationen (Modus zwei) der Walldorfer gegen\u00fcber. Eine bimodale IT gibt es in der SAP-Community seit \u00fcber zehn Jahren!<\/p>\n

Man hat sich an den Zustand gew\u00f6hnt, dass die Unternehmens-IT zwar ein stabiler und verl\u00e4sslicher Faktor sein muss, SAP hingegen jede Dummheit und Revolution ausleben darf.<\/p>\n

Der Mathematiker definiert eine bimodale Verteilung als Wahrscheinlichkeits- oder H\u00e4ufigkeitsverteilung mit zwei Modi. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit, in Walldorf auf schizophrenes Verhalten zu sto\u00dfen ist sehr hoch:<\/p>\n

Oracle oder Hana, on premise oder Cloud Computing, Java oder Abap, S\/7 oder S\/4, Hana auf Intel Xeon oder IBM Power etc. etc.<\/p>\n

J\u00fcngster Streich aus Walldorf: S\/4 ist kein rechtlicher Nachfolger irgendeiner existierenden SAP\u2019schen ERP-Software. Es gibt demnach keinen sicheren Weg von A nach B.
