Zu diesem Schluss gelangt man jedenfalls bei T-Systems, einem der gr\u00f6\u00dften SAP-Hosting-Provider und Hyperscaler weltweit sowie als erfolgreicher Akteur in der Multicloud-Szene mit mehr als 4000 Spezialisten in diesem IT-Arbeitsbereich, der etwa sieben Millionen SAP-User unterst\u00fctzt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Und das auf der Basis der Bereitstellung von Hana-Datenbanken mit einem Gesamtdatenbankvolumen von rund 800 TB. Die gr\u00f6\u00dfte dabei, die im Kundenauftrag l\u00e4uft, kommt auf etwa 36 TB. <\/p>

Spezielles Team<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Als Betriebssystem findet Suse Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications (SLES for SAP) Verwendung. Wobei die Partnerschaft von Suse und T-Systems weit \u00fcber die schiere Bereitstellung des marktf\u00fchrenden Hana-Linux-Betriebssystems hinausgeht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

T-Systems verschreibt sich dem Ansatz \u201eNear Zero Downtime\u201c oder \u201eZero Outage (Program)\u201c und nutzt dabei auch Suse-Technologien, die dieses Credo am besten und in idealer Art und Weise unterst\u00fctzen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Und zwar, um im Endeffekt SAP-Kunden High Quality Services aus den Gro\u00df-Datacentern von T-Systems mit einer m\u00f6glichst hohen High Availability oder anders herum geringen Downtime (planned und unplanned) bereitstellen zu k\u00f6nnen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dabei gibt es von Suse-Seite ein dezidiertes Account-Team, das T-Systems beim Betrieb der SAP-Landschaften (Hana und Hana-basierte Anwendungssysteme) unterst\u00fctzt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In diesem Zusammenhang hilft Suse T-Systems, das Ziel einer \u201eZero unerwarteten Downtime\u201c in die Tat umzusetzen. Ferner hat man im Blick, geplante Wartungsarbeiten m\u00f6glichst auf ein Minimum zu reduzieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zum Einsatz kommen dabei verschiedene Suse-Technologien beziehungsweise Optionen aus SLES for SAP einschlie\u00dflich High Availability Extension, Hana-HA-Resource-Agents, Workload Memory Protection sowie Live Patching, saptune\/sapconf und anderes mehr. Allesamt stehen daf\u00fcr, um den Hana-Einsatz nachhaltig zu optimieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wie es von T-Systems-Seite hei\u00dft, \u201ebetreiben wir basierend auf SLES for SAP weltweit das gr\u00f6\u00dfte Hana-System mit mehr als 36 TB als Single-Hana-_System. Und zwar mit derselben Zuverl\u00e4ssigkeit wie bei einer traditionellen Datenbank. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das macht uns schon stolz. Von der Zuverl\u00e4ssigkeit profitieren unsere Kunden, auch aus Business-Sicht, durch einen zuverl\u00e4ssigen Rund-um-die-Uhr-Betrieb\u201c. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suse heute und morgen<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Vom bekannten Serviceprovider und ebenfalls langj\u00e4hrigen SAP-Partner wird noch ein weiterer Aspekt hervorgehoben, der die Zukunft aus Kundensicht anbetrifft, bei der eine zunehmende Agilit\u00e4t und erh\u00f6hte Business-Geschwindigkeit dominieren. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hierbei will man den Kunden eine Cloud-Basis bereitstellen, auf der sie ganz nach ihren Anforderungen Applikationen ausrollen k\u00f6nnen, eng verzahnt mit laufenden SAP-Systemen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Und zwar ohne hinderliche Latenzzeiten, aber mit hoher Zuverl\u00e4ssigkeit \u2013 verbunden mit dem Hinweis auf die Nutzung von Suse-Technologien \u00fcber SLES for SAP hinaus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
