Cloud Foundry ist eine wichtige Open-Source-Komponente f\u00fcr SAP-Bestandskunden. 2020 ist es f\u00fcnf Jahre her, dass die dazugeh\u00f6rige Stiftung gegr\u00fcndet wurde. Sie sollte das geistige Eigentum der Open-Source-Cloud-Foundry-Technologie verwalten und das Projekt managen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In diesen f\u00fcnf Jahren haben wir mit unseren Project Management Committees die Entwicklung Dutzender Vorhaben unterst\u00fctzt, von denen viele als Inkubationsprojekte akzeptiert wurden. <\/p>

Wir haben im Schulterschluss mit unserer Community die Cloud-Foundry-Technologie weiterentwickelt, sodass sie nicht nur den Standards und Anforderungen des t\u00e4glichen Gebrauchs gen\u00fcgt, sondern den Entwicklern in Unternehmen die n\u00f6tigen Werkzeuge an die Hand gibt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zum besseren Verst\u00e4ndnis, was die Cloud Foundry Foundation f\u00fcr SAP-Bestandskunden leisten kann, werfen wir einen Blick auf einige Highlights der letzten f\u00fcnf Jahre und auf das, was die Stiftung dieses Jahr bewegen wird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2015:<\/strong> Die Foundation lanciert das Cloud-Foundry-\u00adCertified-Provider-Programm, die branchenweit einzige Zertifizierung f\u00fcr ein zuverl\u00e4ssiges Portieren von PaaS-Produkten in heterogenen Multicloud-Umgebungen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2016:<\/strong> Die Foundation startet in Zusammenarbeit mit Fujitsu, Google, IBM, Pivotal, Red Hat und SAP das Open-Service-Broker-API-Projekt und vermeldet die OCI- und CNI-Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr die Cloud Foundry Application Runtime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2017:<\/strong> Die Foundation ver\u00f6ffentlicht die Cloud Foundry Container Runtime, mit der Entwickler Con\u00adtainer mittels Kubernetes und Bosh bereitstellen k\u00f6nnen. WinC wird freigegeben und Envoy und Istio in das Projekt integriert. The Foundry, der weltweit gr\u00f6\u00dfte Open-Source-Marktplatz, \u00f6ffnet seine Pforten f\u00fcr alle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2018<\/strong>: Die Stiftung startet Eirini und Project Quarks, um Kubernetes noch weiter in die Cloud-Foundry-\u00adTechnologien zu integrieren. Auch Containerd wird aufgenommen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2019:<\/strong> Weniger als ein Jahr nach seiner Markteinf\u00fchrung wird Eirini von allen Cloud-Foundry-Certified-\u00adProvidern unterst\u00fctzt, es gibt gleich mehrere Technical Previews auf dem Markt. Die Foundation f\u00fchrt die Version 2.0 des Examens zum Cloud Foundry Certified Developer ein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2020:<\/strong> Die Stiftung akzeptiert KubeCF als Inkubationsprojekt, eine Open-Source-Distribution der Cloud Foundry Application Runtime, die auf Kubernetes l\u00e4uft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Zukunft von Cloud Foundry<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Wahrscheinlich haben Sie den Trend der letzten paar Jahre auch bemerkt: Die meiste Arbeit hat unsere Community in die Integration von Kubernetes in Cloud Foundry gesteckt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kubernetes wurde schnell popul\u00e4r und hat sich zum weithin akzeptierten Standard f\u00fcr das Orchestrieren von Containern gemausert, aber es fehlen gute Tools daf\u00fcr. Deshalb sehen wir es als unsere Aufgabe, Kubernetes mit der Entwicklungsumgebung von Cloud Foundry zu verbinden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir haben mit der Foundation den Punkt erreicht, an dem wir unseren Fokus auf die Weiterentwicklung einer Kubernetes-basierten Plattform verschieben. Gemeinsam mit der Cloud-Foundry-Community arbeiten wir daran, diesen Wandel f\u00fcr alle leicht und erfolgreich zu gestalten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Cloud-Foundry-Community hat in den letzten zwei Jahren Kubernetes auf verschiedenste Art und Weise in die Plattform integriert, einschlie\u00dflich Shared Networking, Authentifizierung, Logging und des Katalogs f\u00fcr Shared Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Integration von Cloud Foundry und Kubernetes verbindet f\u00fcr Anwender die bekannte Strukturiertheit, Kontrolle und Geschwindigkeit von Cloud Foundry mit der Flexibilit\u00e4t und Modularit\u00e4t von Kubernetes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cloud Foundry reagiert auf den Markt und f\u00fchrt neue Funktionen ein, bleibt aber flexibel.
