Meine Frau nimmt Christian Klein in Schutz, den sie immer schon als sehr sympathisch empfand. Sie hat recht. Der neue Alleinherrscher bei SAP ist brillant, umg\u00e4nglich und durchsetzungsf\u00e4hig. Alles bestens, oder? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Man muss kein Hellseher sein oder eine dieser ber\u00fchmten Glaskugeln besitzen, um zu erkennen, dass diese Machtkonzentration in der SAP-Zentrale Walldorf und der sehr kleine, \u00fcberwiegend deutschsprechende Vorstand nicht geeignet sind, um die globalen Herausforderungen zu l\u00f6sen.<\/p>

Es war einst besser: Der SAP-Vorstand war nicht nur gr\u00f6\u00dfer, sondern auch internationaler. Aus Israel kam Ex-Technikvorstand Shai Agassi, unter anderem mit \u201eTopManage\u201c im Gep\u00e4ck \u2013 das sp\u00e4tere SAP \u00adBusiness One.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ihm folgte Vishal Sikka, Inder mit abgeschlossenem Mathematikstudium in Stanford, USA, und Gr\u00fcnder zweier erfolgreicher Start-ups. Da gab es den S\u00fcdafrikaner Rob Enslin, die US-amerikanischen Managerinnen Jennifer Morgan und Adaire Fox-Martin, den d\u00e4nischen Kurzzeitvorstand Lars Dalgaard und nat\u00fcrlich Jim Hagemann Snabe und Bill McDermott. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der SAP-Vorstand war nicht immer brillant, aber immer multikulturell \u2013 eine globale Gemeinschaft f\u00fcr eine globale Community!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Man spricht Deutsch: Nun wird SAP von jungen M\u00e4nnern gef\u00fchrt, die gro\u00dfteils im Schatten der SAP-B\u00fcrot\u00fcrme in Walldorf aufgewachsen sind: Christian Klein, Thomas Saueressig, Luka Mucic und aus Berlin kommt J\u00fcrgen M\u00fcller. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viel von der Welt au\u00dferhalb des SAP-Imperiums haben diese talentierten Leute noch nicht gesehen. Bei aller Bewunderung meiner Frau f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chste Generation an Topmanagern bef\u00e4llt mich die Furcht vor \u201eBlutarmut und Inzucht\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auch andere M\u00fctter haben sch\u00f6ne T\u00f6chter, sagt man. Bei SAP scheint jedoch Inzucht angesagt. W\u00e4hrend Topmanager in den vergangenen Jahren scharenweise SAP verlie\u00dfen, ist mir kein relevanter Zuzug bekannt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eine Auswahl der spektakul\u00e4rsten Abg\u00e4nge: Co-CEO Jim Hagemann Snabe ging als Aufsichtsrat zu Siemens. SAP-Leonardo-Managerin Tanja R\u00fcckert ging zu Bosch. SAP-TechEd-Superstar Bj\u00f6rn Goerke nahm Abschied und ein Jahr Auszeit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SAP-Manager Marcell Vollmer ging zu Celonis. SAP-Manager Edmund Frey zu Spryker. Technikvorstand Bernd Leukert zur Deutschen Bank. Cloud-Vorstand Rob Enslin zu Google. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diese Liste lie\u00dfe sich fast beliebig fortsetzen und eine Entschuldigung an die zahlreichen SAP-Topmanager, die nun erfolgreich woanders arbeiten und die ich hier nicht erw\u00e4hne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aber wer kam von international erfolgreichen Technologiekonzernen nach Walldorf zur SAP? Ein Aufruf an die SAP-Community: Bitte schreiben Sie mir, wenn Sie jemanden kennen, der einst f\u00fcr ein bekanntes IT-Unternehmen arbeitete und nun bei SAP in einer Topposition ist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ich lernte Stefan Batzdorf in Walldorf kennen, der fast in mein gesuchtes Profil passt: Von SAP ging er zu Infosys und nun wieder als CTO S\/4 Hana zur\u00fcck zu SAP. Ich bin beunruhigt, wenn keine neuen Ideen, Anregungen und Strategien von au\u00dfen in den ERP-Weltmarktf\u00fchrer diffundieren. \u201eBlutarmut und Inzucht\u201c sind keine guten Voraussetzungen f\u00fcr die anstehenden Herausforderungen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SAP-Chef Christian Klein scheint dieses Defizit ansatzweise erkannt zu haben: Er plant nach dem \u00fcberraschenden Abgang von Co-CEO Jennifer Mo\u00adr\u00adgan zuk\u00fcnftig mehr in den USA pr\u00e4sent zu sein. Mit Privatjet und Mundschutz k\u00f6nnte dieses Vorhaben gelingen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aber wer k\u00fcmmert sich dann um den asiatischen Bereich, Indien, China und Japan? Wer soll im SAP-Vorstand f\u00fcr Marketing, Kommunikation und Vertrieb verantwortlich sein? Der m\u00f6gliche Fachkr\u00e4ftemangel in der digitalen Transformation wird ohne Personalvorstand nur schwer zu administrieren sein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es mag extreme Situationen geben, wo die ganze Macht auf wenige Vorst\u00e4nde konzentriert werden muss. Ungarns Premierminister Viktor Orb\u00e1n hat es vorgemacht und de facto sein Parlament ausgeschaltet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ob das eine erfolgreiche Strategie f\u00fcr die Zukunft sein kann, wird sich sowohl in Ungarn als auch in Walldorf erst weisen m\u00fcssen. Ich bezweifle diese antidemokratischen Entwicklungen.
