SNP goes to the cloud with Rise <\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

SNP Schneider-Neureither & Partner, a global provider of software solutions for digital transformation processes and automated data migrations in the SAP environment, will move to the cloud with Rise with SAP. In December 2021, SNP signed an agreement with SAP to move its own system to the S\/4 Hana Cloud, Private Edition, in a Microsoft Azure environment. The Heidelberg-based company will carry out the transformation using its own CrystalBridge data migration platform and its own resources. The cloud move is part of a transformation program that SNP launched in January 2022. As part of the program, the IT company will also integrate Datavard, which it acquired last year, and drive forward its own digitization with various measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digitization of more than 1800 stores<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Fressnapf Group, the European market leader for pet supplies, has opted for the retail platform StoreButler from q.beyond. The solution will serve as a central hub for the digitalization of the currently more than 1800 stores in eleven European countries. The Fressnapf Group and q.beyond have concluded an agreement to this effect for an initial term of five years. By using the StoreButler cloud and IoT platform, the Fressnapf Group can benefit directly from pre-installed retail solutions. These include, for example, the control of electronic price tags, predictive price adjustment and the Zero Waste Assistant, which reduces write-offs on expired goods.<\/p>

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the ePrivacy Directive and the German Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG) provide a detailed legal framework for consent management in Germany. However, the concrete, practical design of this is often still a gray area and complicates the situation for companies, but ultimately also for users. The BVDW guidelines from the \"Consent Management\" working group in the Data Economy department are intended to provide concrete assistance, for example with regard to the scope for designing corresponding banners. The guideline also addresses the hurdles of using the systems of consent management platform providers, particularly in the area of processing personal data. At the same time, the publication shows the current legal framework for data protection and privacy protection and the extent to which the GDPR and TTDSG are intertwined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Cross-system<\/strong> Content Understanding<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

SER announces the launch of Doxis Intelligent Content Automation, an AI-powered platform that automates content understanding, improves transparency, creates additional revenue opportunities and reduces risk. As part of the Doxis Intelligent Content Automation platform, SER will also offer new, extensible solution suites. This will provide companies with everything they need to better manage and more effectively implement their standard processes, such as purchase-to-pay, customer 360\u00b0, patient management and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Runtime Decreases Significantly<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The duration of mega-deals in the IT services industry has declined by 40 percent over the past twenty years. As recently as 2000, mega-deals were structured to last an average of nearly eight years. Today, the average duration is less than five years. In general, the industry has seen a trend over the past twenty years toward not only shorter but also smaller contracts\u2014in an overall growing market. The annual contract value (ACV) for mega-deals also follows this pattern. Three years ago, mega-deals still accounted for 20 percent of the ACV of the entire IT services market. Today, that figure stands at only about 12 percent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This decline is not solely due to a decrease in the ACV of mega-deals. It is also because the overall ACV pie has grown. For example, the ACV for managed services rose by 16 percent in 2021 compared to the previous year. A large portion of this growth comes from contracts with an ACV of less than $20 million. These smaller deals now form the backbone of the IT services industry, underscoring the broader paradigm shift taking place in the sector. This is reported by the Information Services Group (ISG) based on its own market data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Develop products quickly<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

T-Systems now offers the Siemens software Geolus for shape-based searches in combination with SAP data. This new module of the PDM WebConnector is unique and simplifies the development process for companies. For example, users can now use Geolus Shape Search to find geometrically similar parts and then view the associated SAP data, including precise specifications, availability, costs, and many other commercial parameters. The PDM WebConnector connects many common software solutions for the design and development of components and even entire products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Comprehensive platform enhancements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced enhancements to its HPE GreenLake hybrid cloud platform. These include the integration of Aruba Central, a unified user experience, new cloud services, and the availability of HPE GreenLake on the online marketplaces of several leading distributors. By integrating Aruba Central\u2014a cloud-native, AI-powered network management solution\u2014with the HPE GreenLake platform, more than 120,000 Aruba network customers, with nearly two million devices under management and two million API calls per day, use the HPE GreenLake platform to order services and manage their infrastructure. A new user experience simplifies unified access to all cloud services in the HPE portfolio, with single sign-on access, security, compliance, elasticity, and data protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

eDocuments Platform<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The new eDocuments Platform for E-Invoice from NTT DATA Business Solutions automates centralized invoice processing in a full-service cloud environment. Documents can be seamlessly processed in downstream systems. This creates a central intake channel for all suppliers\u2014regardless of whether they currently support electronic invoices or whether invoices arrive via email, as PDFs, or as scans. For outgoing invoices, processing begins at the standardized SAP interface. Before sending, the eDocuments Platform converts the invoice into the format required by the respective country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Acquisition Completed<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

SAP announced the completion of its acquisition of a majority stake in Taulia, a provider of working capital management solutions. J.P. Morgan will retain its equity stake in the fintech company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Positive Trend<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

xSuite continued its growth trajectory in fiscal year 2021 and achieved group-wide revenue of 40 million euros while maintaining high profitability. The cloud business, in particular, grew very strongly. The number of employees across the entire company rose to 230. The subsidiaries in Denmark, the Netherlands, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, and the U.S. also made significant contributions to the positive overall results. xSuite was able to increase the number of its customer projects by another six percent last year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

New customers include, among others, the U.S. automotive supplier and medical technology manufacturer Gentherm and the footwear manufacturer Crocs (also based in the U.S.). Esker Receives U.S. Patent<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Esker, a provider of a global cloud platform that enhances the efficiency of finance and customer service departments as well as cross-organizational collaboration by automating management tasks, announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted U.S. Patent No. 11132407B2 for Esker\u2019s automated batch processing technology. Esker\u2019s AI-based solutions cover both the order-to-cash (O2C) and procure-to-pay (P2P) cycles and are designed to reduce repetitive, time-consuming tasks with low added value. For accounting staff, this often meant having to scan paper invoices to create a digital file, which then had to be split into individual invoices<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Expand the partnership<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

NetApp and Cisco are introducing the next evolution of FlexPod: FlexPod XCS. It offers an automated platform for modern applications, data, and hybrid cloud services. FlexPod consists of pre-validated storage, networking, and server technologies from Cisco and NetApp. The new FlexPod XCS platform was developed to enable the rapid deployment of modern applications and data in a hybrid cloud environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
