In practice, it is apparent that users are being pushed into the cloud by their suppliers with varying degrees of intensity. For companies considering a new ERP system, the variety of offerings is currently being noticeably reduced, because often only cloud solutions are available for new customers. How do ERP users feel about this development? Are there differences in satisfaction with cloud and on-premises solutions? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can the security concerns that many users associate with a solution in the cloud be allayed? These and other questions are the focus of this year's study, in which ERP\/business software users can participate until the end of June. It is not so much about individual functions or technological details, but rather about the general support of business processes and strategies by the respective ERP software.\u00a0<\/p>

Major topic: Mobility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The aspect of \"mobile use of ERP software\" was always the subject of significant criticism in previous years. In the last round of the study, it was still in the range of a strong \"Satisfactory\". Although this point of criticism was not removed from the table in 2020, the ERP providers seemed to have taken this issue more seriously recently. With measures such as the increased conversion to web technologies with Responsive Design, they are obviously on the right track. Responsive design ensures that an application can be operated well on end devices with different-sized screens. What about the mobile usability of ERP solutions this year? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Were the ERP providers able to make further gains here and achieve measurable improvements in the market? An exciting question that will be answered by the current study results in September. The online questionnaire and information on the background and results of the study are available online.
