This family of services includes network and security policy management, network discovery and response (NDR), network visibility and analysis (NSX Intelligence), advanced load balancing (ALB), and workload mobility (HCX) for private cloud environments and VMware cloud deployments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the update to NSX 4.0.1.0 and VMware vSphere 8, the networking and security features of VMware NSX can now be deployed - on Data Processing Units (DPUs, also known as SmartNICs) connected to the host hypervisor. Offloading NSX services to the DPU accelerates networking and security functions without burdening the host CPUs. This meets the needs of modern applications and other network-intensive and latency-sensitive applications. <\/p>

Examining traffic through network taps is no longer sufficient. Distributed cloud architectures create fuzziness.
