Digitalization means that the amount of data to be processed is increasing massively. Companies have to adapt to this. But not only that. Studies by Gartner, for example, predict that infrastructures and IT operations not only need to be constantly optimized, but that care must also be taken to keep costs under control.<\/p>\n

This also applies to multiple hybrid cloud computing, where it is important to find the optimum balance between on-prem and cloud use - between core-on-prem workloads and cloud services.<\/p>

It can be assumed that companies will increasingly use multiple cloud services, be it IaaS, SaaS, PaaS or DBaaS solutions. It is clear that off-prem workloads, such as for AI, analytics or IoT, are increasing. And that, ultimately, data centers are no longer fixed places or locations where data is generated, processed or used.<\/p>\n

Cisco is facing up to this paradigm shift and has several things in mind from a strategic perspective: Solutions for a holistic IT infrastructure based on modern technologies; support for IT infrastructures through automation solutions to use IT as a strategic business enabler; and the provision of integrated security solutions to effectively protect enterprise applications and data.<\/p>\n

Support with SAP modernizations<\/h3>\n

Cisco is one of the preferred partners of SAP and its customers - both in the NetWeaver and Hana-based SAP world with a large number of SAP certifications. Cisco has set itself the goal of effectively supporting user companies in the accelerated modernization of their SAP deployment.<\/p>\n

The focus here is on providing customers with an integrated approach for operating concepts in the digitalization age with new business models, data sources or analytics tools.<\/p>\n

Data Center Stack<\/h3>\n

The Cisco Data Center Stack covered is based on the three strategic pillars mentioned above: security, multicloud and several infrastructure automation layers (see the adjacent figure). On the solution side, AppDynamics (AppD), CloudCenter, Cisco Container Platform and Cisco Workload Optimization Manager (WOM) build a bridge across public cloud and on-premises environments.<\/p>\n

ACI, NAE and Intersight support policy-based automation and consistency. Cisco Nexus, UCS servers, HyperFlex HCI and convergent infrastructure solutions are also part of the data center stack.<\/p>\n

For example, FlexPod All-Flash Solutions for SAP with integrated NetApp systems. And the Cisco solutions Tetration, Stealthwatch, Umbrella and Next Generation Firewall ensure security across on-premises and public cloud environments.<\/p>\n
