Autonomous archiving<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

KGS is repositioning itself in the 20th year of its existence. Under the Tia brand, the archive manufacturer unites all existing product modules into a common vision of the intelligent document archive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

KGS is also developing new intelligence for autonomous archiving with Tia. To date, it has primarily been SAP user companies that have benefited from KGS's own archiving approach. The idea of solving the issue of archiving with lean, almost invisible software remains. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the new model from KGS goes beyond this: Tia - The Intelligent Archive - closes the final gap in the life cycle of documents in the company, regardless of which applications are connected. Tia can be flexibly integrated into different IT systems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are no limitations in terms of which storages are accessed, which applications exist in the company and whether they are operated in the cloud or on-premises. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is therefore no problem for Tia if tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics or other specialist applications and portals are often in central operation alongside the leading application SAP and the documents from these systems are also to be archived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Innovation Award 2020<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Piller Blowers and Compressors has won the SAP Innovation Award 2020 in the Business Transformation category. The award recognizes companies that drive innovation with SAP platform technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among other things, Piller has optimized its service processes with the Internet of Things and seamless integration into the existing IT system architecture, which includes C\/4 Hana, S\/4 Hana and SAP Field Service Management, for example. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

SAP resellers must undergo this certification and the associated audit every two years. Itelligence achieved the highest reseller status - and has now been certified in 21 countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does the cloud cost?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

What does it cost to obtain computing power and storage from the cloud? And which is the cheapest provider? The market leaders Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud in particular make daily comparisons difficult due to their pricing models. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest version of the online cost calculator from Microfin, a management consultancy specializing in outsourcing and cloud sourcing, not only provides the prices of all three hyperscalers at the click of a button. For the first time, the costs can also be calculated by economic region (Germany, EU, North America, Asia-Pacific), providing internationally active companies with an even more precise overview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prices are updated daily and can be specified precisely for the requirements for compute instances (computing cores, memory and usage time) and storage (storage type and space). The calculation can be made in either euros or US dollars. The cost calculator is free of charge and freely accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Open Industry 4.0 Alliance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Networking is a key feature of Industry 4.0 scenarios. Data flows not only between cyber-physical systems in the smart factory, but also between specialist departments, companies and other stakeholders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this to happen, a mindset is required from everyone involved: openness for intensive collaboration in the ecosystem. The Open Industry 4.0 Alliance, which was founded in 2019, aims to do just that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consolidate technology partnership<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Pure Storage has announced that it has reached the Platinum level in the SAP Partneredge program and is an SAP Global Technology Partner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pure Storage's Hana-certified FlashArray product adds significant value to customers and service providers running mission-critical SAP workloads. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration provides for joint technical support, centers of excellence and deeper technology integrations between the two companies in the areas of Intelligent Enterprise, S\/4 Hana, cloud computing, storage and virtualization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This expansion of Pure Storage's partnership with SAP will help customers achieve better business outcomes. The classification is a milestone in the partnership between the two companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

2020 Gartner Peer Insights<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Blackline announces that it has been named \"2020 Gartner Peer Insights Customers' Choice for Cloud Financial Close Solutions\" in the new report \"Gartner Peer Insights 'Voice of the Customer': Cloud Financial Close Solutions\". <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \"Gartner Peer Insights Customers' Choice\" is based on reviews from companies that have implemented and use Blackline's cloud platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \"Gartner Peer Insights Customers' Choice\" awards the providers that are rated best by their customers. Blackline customers had submitted a total of 149 reviews on Gartner Peer Insights within twelve months, up to March 16, 2020. EU Parliament live on S\/4<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Atos has successfully completed the first implementation of SAP S\/4 Hana for an EU institution with the European Parliament (EP). As part of the project, which was launched at the end of 2016, S\/4 replaced previous traditional systems to modernize the financial system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

S\/4 Hana is now one of the main systems in the European Parliament.
