Today, it is difficult to mention all of SAP's open source products and initiatives in the same breath. In the current E-3 October issue, you will find a small selection of open source-related books (pages 22 and 23). On page 61, Frederik Kramer from Initos asks: SAP and open source - do they go together? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He provides the answer by quoting SAP's 2019 annual report, \"Our solutions portfolio [...] is growing as we acquire other companies and thus increasingly use third-party program code, including open source code.<\/em>\" <\/p>

Then in an E-3 exclusive interview, SAP board member Juergen Mueller explains on page 62: \"GitHub is the leading platform that SAP also uses intensively for its open source projects [...] In addition, we use other platforms such as GitLab and are actively involved in numerous open source foundations.<\/em>\" <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, as in every E-3 issue, Sabine S\u00f6llheim from Suse concludes our open source coverage for the SAP community with her Linux column. This once again impressively proves that SAP is much more than Abap and NetWeaver. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
