El tendido del cable ha concluido y su puesta en servicio est\u00e1 prevista para principios de 2018. La conexi\u00f3n por cable entre Estados Unidos y Europa, denominada Marea, tiene m\u00e1s de 6400 kil\u00f3metros de longitud y, con una velocidad de transmisi\u00f3n de 160 terabits por segundo, es el cable submarino transatl\u00e1ntico m\u00e1s potente.<\/p>\n

Es m\u00e1s de 16 millones de veces m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida que la conexi\u00f3n dom\u00e9stica media a Internet y ofrece la posibilidad de transmitir simult\u00e1neamente 71 millones de v\u00eddeos en alta definici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

A trav\u00e9s del punto de conexi\u00f3n con Marea en Bilbao, tambi\u00e9n se podr\u00e1n realizar nodos de red en \u00c1frica, Oriente Medio y Asia. El enorme ancho de banda contribuir\u00e1 a satisfacer la creciente demanda mundial de servicios de Internet y en la nube, como Microsoft Azure.<\/p>\n
