Aunque la demanda de potencia de c\u00e1lculo se ha multiplicado por diez en los \u00faltimos diez a\u00f1os debido a la digitalizaci\u00f3n en curso de la econom\u00eda y la sociedad, la demanda de energ\u00eda por gigabit en los centros de datos es hoy doce veces menor que en 2010. Al mismo tiempo, las emisiones de CO2 de los centros de datos est\u00e1n disminuyendo en toda Europa. Para 2030, se espera que las emisiones de CO2 se reduzcan en un 30%.
