One in seven companies wants a digital officer
It is true that at the end of last year, only one in five companies (20 percent) had a chief digital officer (CDO) or a head of digitization - and thus only marginally more than the year before (19 percent). But at the same time, 14 percent state that they are currently planning to establish such a position. This is the result of a representative survey of 602 companies with 20 or more employees in Germany commissioned by the digital association Bitkom. However, the vast majority (64 percent) still do not have a CDO or a comparable position and are not planning to do so.
