Current contributions to the Competence Center Summit 2024

This case study shows how the targeted use of artificial intelligence (AI) in a complex transformation project led to measurable time and cost savings as well as quality improvements.
Existing SAP customers who are forced to enter into a contract conversion must act this year to avoid drastic price increases. Users aiming to move to the SAP cloud with Rise need to draw up a complex plan.
Keeping SAP systems up to date is one of the most urgent tasks for SAP Basis teams. Suite solutions for the automation of SAP Basis tasks act as a kind of lifeline.
The summit in Salzburg was characterized by change. The former Customer Competence Center has been known as the Customer CoE (Center of Expertise) for several years now and, according to SAP's plans, is set to gain new appeal.
The challenges and tasks at SAP Basis are not diminishing: from security to AI and automation to license management - and new: Business Technology Platform.
Many companies shy away from the complexity of AI projects. However, the key to success rarely lies in large lighthouse projects, but rather in pragmatic quick wins. Stringing together small steps is what then leads to great success.
The importance of automation software for SAP system or SAP Basis operation is currently increasing for two main reasons: To achieve time and cost savings and to ensure the highest possible level of security.
"SAP in the cloud" is not synonymous with "everything in the SAP cloud". Customers who follow SAP into the cloud require new skills to take responsibility for their cloud IT: those of a provider manager.
Whether virtualization, outsourcing, hosting or cloud, existing SAP customers need basic IT tools and partners for the efficient operation of their SAP system.
CCC managers are under pressure to act due to the S/4 Cloud strategy when it comes to SAP Basis. For decades, SAP Customer Competence Centers (CCC) have taken place only within individual companies, and have not been open to others.
Ososoft's goal is to enable SAP customers to focus on their core ERP challenges and to use AI and automation to relieve users of as much routine work as possible—including the creation of multilingual documentation.
Many companies create, process, and store their most valuable data in SAP. To effectively protect their data, SAP customers should assume that attackers have already successfully penetrated their system, either internally or externally.
More and more users are opting for complete or suite solutions for SAP Basis automation software. Vendors of such software, which provide various applications as part of a complete package, are turning the wheel of development.
Complex structures require consistent orchestration. The Silicon Valley Europe initiative and E3 magazine are sponsoring the global SAP partner community. We start with a German-language online event on May 14 from 3 pm.
The S/4 conversion is the biggest challenge for existing SAP customers since the changeover from R/3 Enterprise to SAP Business Suite 7. An S/4 architecture means the release change to the Hana database, the decision about private cloud or public cloud and the adaptation of the license model.
After SAP failed with its Data Hub and is now trying again with Datasphere, specialized IT companies are already much further ahead. Fivetran has built a universal data platform that aims to impress with its efficiency.

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion.

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.

For the second time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
