In mid-May, the availability of maintenance and support services for SAP Hana, including the associated elements of the Hana platform, was announced.
Hana is a column-oriented in-memory computing database that is currently used by existing SAP customers in conjunction with analytics and business intelligence applications such as Business Warehouse and Business Planning and Consolidation. Hana can be used standalone or in conjunction with certain ERP applications and versions.
Rimini Street support for Hana is available now, delivered by Hana-certified engineers with an average of 15 years of experience.
The support model includes the same database support as Oracle: product support, database health check and tuning services, security support services and interoperability support services, which are offered at a cost saving of 50 percent.

Most Hana licensees use the database as part of their business warehouse platform or other analytics/business intelligence solutions, alongside their SAP ERP application software running on Oracle Database.
This results in a mix of databases within their SAP environment. However, SAP is not committed to providing integrated support services for Oracle Database after December 31, 2019."
Rimini Street's long-term support (guaranteed for a minimum of 15 years) for both Oracle and Hana offers licensees the ability to obtain support services for their entire ERP and mixed database environment from a single support provider.
