ELO Digital Office supports reforestation project
In addition to the size of the field, the tree population is of great importance to the farmers: the number, height and diameter of the trees must be recorded as accurately as possible.
Here, Fairventures relies on a specially developed mobile app that farmers can use to work and record key figures independently. The app also recently won an award as part of the Google Impact Challenge.
Thus, two decisive factors for ELO came together in the selection of the project: on the one hand, the fundamental work in the preservation and reforestation of important habitat, and on the other hand, the forward-looking use of digital trends
As part of this commitment, ELO CEO Karl Heinz Mosbach traveled to the project area in Central Kalimantan at the beginning of March to get a first-hand impression of the project. He was accompanied on the trip by Denny Malingkas, the head of ELO Indonesia.
In the field of a farmer who is supported by Fairventures, Karl Heinz Mosbach did not miss the opportunity to roll up his sleeves and get active himself:
"Digitized workplaces are making the use of paper in everyday business largely obsolete. That's why we wanted to support a project dedicated to the reforestation of valuable natural areas.
In a way, we as a company are helping twice: our customers can avoid unnecessary use of paper by using ELO and thus achieve savings.
In addition, we support Fairventures in conserving the basic raw material of paper production and thus counteracting tree death"
Mosbach sums up.
"Even on the journey to the project area, one becomes aware of the impact our current lifestyle can have in all parts of the world. That's why the work Fairventures does is so important. It helps minimize the damage caused by our daily actions."
