In 2018, SAP reported the acquisition of software company Qualtrics for eight billion dollars. Qualtrics is an experience management (XM) solution with customer, employee, brand, and product experience that generates XM data using surveys of relevant user groups.

Central HCM functionality remains in SAP ERP/ECC 6.0, but in addition to these HCM functions, payroll processes can also be managed through SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).

Companies will face immense challenges in the coming years. On the one hand, they are tackling digitization projects that will determine their market success in the medium term. On the other hand, daily business processes must continue to run stably and be improved and adapted incrementally. IT support is indispensable for both sides.
