BlueCopy loves Hana - system copies for NW and S/4
The innovations include, for example, an expanded user and authorization concept with optimized granularity. It allows the group of employees responsible for SAP system copies to be expanded simply, securely and reliably.
The documentation can be accessed directly in the GUI. Furthermore, the docu is stored on the BlueCopy server and automatically updated when new versions are downloaded.
The GUI itself has also been revised to make SAP system copies even easier and thus faster to create. For example, the "Source and Destination" tab has been expanded to include the option of specifying application instances to be stopped or started - or when creating a sandbox to be duplicated with the Empirius solution BlueClone. The "Copy Settings" tab contains additional new functions. This allows database updates or kernel updates to be performed on the target system as part of a system copy.
There are permanent enhancements for Hana and S/4. Hana restore exit supports more and more backup tools. Especially for Microsoft Azure, Recovery Services Vault for MS-SQL and Hana is supported.
Other new features: Copy templates for BlueCopy and BlueClone, Hana kernel update as part of the system copy, flexible handling for additional instances, recovery of Hana database passwords, three new user exit types (checkpoint, transport and SQL user exits) or skipping of typical or non-critical BDLS errors.
