Digital competition is getting fiercer


Five years ago, only 36 percent said the same. That is the result of a survey of 604 companies with 20 or more employees commissioned by the digital association Bitkom. At the same time, two-thirds (65 percent) of the companies are experiencing competitors from the Internet and IT sector pushing into their own market (2017: 57 percent). Likewise, around two-thirds (63 percent) notice that digitization is turning companies from other industries beyond the Internet and IT sector into direct competitors in their own core market (2017: 51 percent).
