Future-proof solutions for efficient intralogistics
Logimat, the 18th International Trade Fair for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management, will provide information on everything that constitutes performance and future viability of intralogistics on the path to digital transformation from March 10 to 12, 2020, at the Stuttgart Exhibition Center.
"The topic of digitization has now arrived in companies" says Logimat trade fair manager Michael Ruchty.
"However, many companies are hesitant about the concrete implementation of digital transformation, as shown by a large number of current studies. When it comes to technological developments, many decision-makers are not yet clear where they are headed. They have a high demand for information and are correspondingly holding back on their investments in solution offerings."
Against the backdrop of these requirements, Logimat, as the world's leading platform for intralogistics, fulfills its task in two respects: The exhibits of its exhibitors - including numerous world premieres - represent a cross-section of the current range of solutions offered by leading developers and suppliers.
In parallel, the proven supporting program with top-class forums, the presentation of best-practice projects and current research approaches as well as with numerous company presentations offers a sustainable range of information for the future-oriented alignment of intralogistics. Accordingly, the motto of Logimat 2020 is: "Intralogistics at first hand | Visions - Innovations - Solutions".
Automated guided vehicles in own exhibition area
Autonomous, driverless transport vehicles (AGVs) are becoming increasingly important in intralogistics. In order to adequately cover the current developments and to present new technologies and innovations to the trade audience, a separate exhibition area has been set up for the first time in Hall 2 for mobile transport and picking robots.
In Hall 7 and Halls 9 and 10, the entire line-up of leading material handling equipment manufacturers and the majority of renowned suppliers of useful attachments and loading technology will be showcasing their latest innovations in the field of forklift trucks, materials handling equipment and handling systems, as well as the current range of solutions relating to driver assistance systems (DAS) and fleet management systems.
Characterized by the requirements in the electric motor sector, the spectrum of exhibits in these segments ranges from world premieres for large-area clamps in attachments to new safety and dialog functions in FAS and new presentations of retrofittable cab variants for electric forklifts.
Compact multidirectional sideloaders and other solutions for the automation of autonomously operating equipment will also be on display. New material handling equipment will be presented in live demonstrations in outdoor areas newly opened up for Logimat between Hall 8 and Hall 10.
The developers and providers of software solutions for intralogistics, which can be found in Hall 8 and partially in the adjacent Hall 6, are now incorporating AI processes and methods into their computing processes in their latest solutions.
With their software offerings and new functions, exhibitors will show how this translates into the system world of telematics, transport management and warehouse management systems.
They will also present current software solutions in the areas of customs, shipping processing and export control and show ways for new business areas to emerge from the digitalization of automated processes.
Last but not least, exhibitors of complementary product offerings and new developments from the fields of containers and labeling technologies, packaging, and packaging and weighing systems will be presenting product innovations for weighing, measuring, or labeling in Halls 4 and 6.
