The Golden Victoria for SAP CEO
The award in the "Entrepreneur of the Year" category recognizes not only SAP's current success, but above all its strategic importance as a world-class digital player.
He said the company has set standards in enterprise digitization, becoming a market leader in enterprise applications, mobile solutions, analytics and business intelligence.

said VDZ Managing Director Stephan Scherzer, explaining the jury's choice.
McDermott will receive the Golden Victoria at the VDZ Publishers' Night on November 7 in Berlin.
With the award, the VDV honors personalities for their achievements also in the categories "Integration", "Freedom of the Press", "Lifetime Achievement" and "European of the Year".
Among the prize winners of recent years are conductor Daniel Barenboim, Franz Beckenbauer, Joachim Gauck, Israeli President Shimon Peres, Hans-Dietrich Genscher, Henry Kissinger and Mikhail Gorbachev.
In 2009, the jury honored SAP founder Dietmar Hopp for his commitment to integration and equal opportunities.
