Guiding stars for the SAP Industry Community
The technology group Schott is now a pioneer of digitalization. When switching to S/4 Hana, the global player from Mainz opted for a holistic, selective approach and took the opportunity to raise the company platform to a new level in terms of content in a short space of time: global standardization, data harmonization and digitalization of processes without sacrificing comprehensive innovations. The selective project approach thus became the business enabler of the digital transformation. It is the only way to make a project as ambitious as Schott's economically viable, feasible in terms of content and technically possible.
Fast Value
"With Selective, we have implemented everything that many industrial companies in Greenfield dream of"Sebastian Hellmann clarifies. He is Consulting Director at cbs. The motto: Fast Value - short project duration, comprehensive added value. This approach is the modern, business-optimized form of new development.
implementation. Fast Value combines business transformation, business process redesign, the development of global structures and software-supported, selective data transformation with agile methods.
Holistic approach
Oliver Dorsner, Member of the Executive Board: "The selective approach is often only interpreted technically, reduced to data migration and understood as an enriched brownfield variant. For us, the selective approach is the key element of a holistic approach and thus the reference method of digitalization: a digital greenfield that leads the SAP user industry quickly and securely into the new reality of the intelligent enterprise."
The Viessmann Group, headquartered in Allendorf in northern Hesse, has also made an innovative leap with Selective. The world's leading manufacturer of energy systems has implemented a completely new digital platform for the future. The entire project was completed in just 18 months. "We could not have afforded a lengthy corporate project lasting five or more years. For a global player like Viessmann, the S/4 Hana transformation is a business-critical future project of strategic importance. It is therefore a quantum leap when such a project can be realized in the shortest possible time and at a fraction of the cost"explains Harald Dörnbach, Managing Director of Viessmann IT Service.
With the new "Rise with SAP" customer program, more and more customers are finding their way into the cloud. Such as Phoenix Contact E-Mobility, the charging technology specialist for electric cars. In order to meet the rapidly growing global demand, the company set up a new production facility in Poland. Phoenix decided to introduce the S/4 Hana Cloud Essentials Edition. The cloud solution offers the necessary flexibility for companies that often need to scale very quickly and adapt their systems to new processes. The switch to the S/4 Cloud in Poland was a pioneering pilot project for the entire company - the German headquarters of E-Mobility will follow shortly and also switch to the new SAP world on a cloud basis.
