HSM relies on MobileX
HSM develops, produces and sells products and systems for pressing recyclables and shredding paper and electronic data carriers. With the introduction of the two solutions MobileX-CrossMIP as well as for MobileX-Dispatch, the company wants to optimize its worldwide service processes, network the service points, support the employees in the application and increase customer satisfaction.
Previously, the 35 dispatchers and 100 service technicians were already using mobile service management software, but this no longer met HSM's growing requirements and needed to be replaced. That's why HSM started looking for a holistic solution in 2019. After an extensive evaluation of various providers, the decision was finally made in favor of MobileX.
In the future, MobileX-Dispatch will enable HSM's dispatchers to plan routes in a route-optimized manner and to plan service calls semi- or fully automatically with a Gantt chart and map. During planning, the dispatchers also have insight into all customer information such as SLAs, assets and customer history via the connection to SAP.
In the future, not only HSM technicians but also sub-service providers will work with the MobileX-CrossMIP service app to receive, process and report back orders. The technicians also record the material consumption from the technician or consignment warehouse at the customer's site in their confirmations and process their returns via the app. They fill out forms and checklists via the Crossforms module.
This allows all types of (dynamic) forms to be used in the app, data to be entered with validations and then transferred to the backend in a structured form as a data record or PDF document. In the future, technicians will be able to record their travel expenses via the travel expense manager and submit them paperlessly. In order to enable an automatic check of the confirmations in SAP, the MobileX release monitor is to be used as a further add-on module for MobileX-CrossMIP in the future.
New development for mobile service
In general, MobileX continues to develop its solutions to meet changing requirements in field service management. For example, the company recently presented the new version 9.0 of its field service management suite. The latest release offers many new features in the mobile solutions as well as in the deployment planning. For the MobileX-CrossMIP app, there is now MobileX-Crossforms, a new module for creating and using dynamic forms for checklists and logs. Other highlights include GPS tracking, change tracking for technical objects and material movements in SAP, and single sign-on via OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
More user friendliness
MobileX-Crossforms fits seamlessly into the user interface of MobileX-
CrossMIP and is therefore also suitable for small displays such as smartphones. The completed forms can be transferred to the backend in structured form as data records and optionally also as a PDF document (for example as an inspection, acceptance or maintenance log). The PDF form is also created in the WebIDE.
The new preview for the slot search in MobileX-Dispatch offers more user-friendliness in shift planning. When scheduling an operation, the dispatcher is shown the different variants and their effects on the existing planning directly in the planning board. Thanks to telephone integration in the planning tool, dispatchers can now also call a customer, technician or other contacts directly from the application.
In order to distribute changes to technical objects (functional locations and equipment) as well as to warehouse stock efficiently and promptly to the mobile clients, these are available for the MobileX SAP add-on with Release 9.0. For the configuration of change tracking, there are numerous filter options via standard SAP customizing, for example, to track only sections of a functional location structure.
