Rimini Street appoints Thomas Sabol as CFO
Rimini Street, an international provider of independent software support services, has appointed Thomas Sabol as chief financial officer (CFO) and senior vice president.
As head of the global finance and accounting teams at Rimini Street, Sabol will be responsible for all internal and external financial aspects. This will include financial and management reporting, treasury, tax matters, as well as assisting management with strategic planning initiatives.
Sabol succeeds the company's previous Chief Financial Officer, Doug Zorn, who retired at the end of 2016. For his new role at Rimini Street, Sabol brings extensive financial and operational leadership experience from publicly traded high-tech companies.
Prior to his role until recently as a management consultant, during which he provided M&A, CFO and strategic planning support to various companies, he served as CFO for Comverse, now Xura, a $500 million global software services provider to telecommunications and commercial enterprises.
Prior to joining Comverse, Sabol was CFO of Hypercom Corporation, a provider of electronic payment solutions. Sabol also served as CFO and COO at Plexus, where he led ten acquisitions in the United States, Mexico, Malaysia, China and the United Kingdom. Prior to that, he served as vice president and general auditor for financial services provider Kemper, among other positions.
Roland Roudny from MSG Systems to Q_Perior
Roland Roudny joins Q_Perior as a Partner at the Austria location, contributing his SAP experience in particular. He is moving from MSG Systems, where he was most recently a member of the Management Board, in order to bundle SAP competencies at Q_Perior in the future. The company is thus increasingly offering integrated services that are in demand from customers in connection with SAP or S/4 Hana. In addition to Roudny, Q_Perior has appointed two more partners. Bernhard Braunmüller returns to Q_Perior after five years as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the international technology company Kontron, among others, where he was responsible for customer management and marketing & communications as a partner until 2012. In his new position as Head of Sales, he will integrate the company's individual consulting sectors more closely on the sales side and help drive the strategic expansion of the automotive and energy sectors. Astrid Blechschmidt is promoted to Q_Perior Management as a Partner. With this promotion, the consulting firm is setting an example for further growth in the tourism, transport and logistics sector, for which Blechschmidt is responsible. With the company since 2015, Blechschmidt successfully expanded the new tourism, transport and logistics division - both thematically and in terms of personnel. Previously, the business administration graduate was CEO at T-Systems DMS in Switzerland.

Aspera appoints sales manager for France
Aspera, a provider of strategic software asset management, relies on the expertise of Margreet Fortuné and appoints her as Sales Manager for France.
With this move, the company is also strengthening its presence in Europe after entering the U.S. and international markets. Fortuné has more than 20 years of experience in software sales and the IT industry.

After more than twelve years in sales management and EMEA partner support for software solutions at Netopia, she founded her own consulting company. She then worked for Absolute Software, where she held various business development positions.
Ekrem Namazci to build Datavard's Asia market
With the launch of its new Singapore office, Datavard has appointed Ekrem Namazci as Regional Managing Director for Asia Pacific and Japan. In addition to launching Datavard in APJ, he will be responsible for building a regional partner and customer network with a local sales and support team.
Namazci comes from the Canadian software provider Longview Solutions, where he successfully established and expanded the Asian branch as Managing Director APAC. Previously, he was Sales Manager at Arcplan (now Longview), responsible for strategic key accounts in Europe, and at SAP Germany, responsible for medium-sized companies and key accounts.
Sven Winter becomes head of Board Switzerland
Board International, a provider of integrated business intelligence and corporate performance management software headquartered in Chiasso, promotes Sven Winter to Country Manager for Switzerland.
Until now, the trained controller was responsible for sales in the predominantly German-speaking cantons. Since joining Board in 2015, he has already been able to expand Board's market position in the region and win well-known customers such as KPMG and Migros.

SAS appoints new European bosses
SAS has appointed Mark Wilkinson as senior regional vice president for North and West EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa). Wilkinson has many years of software and management experience and has been with SAS since 2012, most recently as regional vice president for Northern Europe.
For the South and East of the EMEA region, SAS has also appointed Riad Gydien as senior regional vice president, who was previously vice president for the Middle East and Africa.
In their new roles, both report directly to Carl Farrell, Chief Customer Revenue Officer at SAS.
Neil Batstone is the new EMEA general manager at Worksoft. The company is a provider of automation software for rapid testing and capture of business processes for numerous enterprise applications such as SAP, Oracle and Salesforce.com.
Patrick Zammit becomes President of Tech Data Europe. Prior to the acquisition by Tech Data, he was global president of Avnet Technology Solutions. Prior to that, he led Avnet's components business (EM) for EMEA. He reports to Rich Hume, Tech Data's executive VP and COO.
F-Secure has appointed Gerald Ineichen as its new Channel Account Manager Switzerland. With this newly created position, the Finnish security provider aims to strengthen its Swiss location. Ineichen will be responsible for on-site customer support and for expanding F-Secure's channel in Switzerland.
Swiss IT consulting company Inacta has added Markus Fischer to its management team and board of directors. As Head of Business Development, he will be responsible for business and product development. Previously, Fischer was CEO of Zeit AG, a provider of integrated systems for time management.
Following the completion of its reorganization, Big Data specialist Nextevolution has restructured its management team. Alfred Pfaff has taken over the overall management of the company. Previously, he was Senior VP at T-Systems International and a member of the Management Board at Software AG, among other positions.
Jörg John joins the management team of Norwegian HR specialist Zalaris. John assumes responsibility for all HR strategy activities. The company is an established expert in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) in the area of SAP HCM and one of SuccessFactors' first BPO partners.
