SAP Plans Acquisition of LeanIX
SAP has entered into an agreement to acquire LeanIX, an enterprise architecture management (EAM) company. The planned acquisition will help SAP expand its business transformation portfolio. LeanIX, an unlisted company, has been a strategic partner of SAP and Signavio for the past decade. Many CIOs use LeanIX's offerings as part of their digital transformation with Rise. LeanIX complements Signavio's existing transformation capabilities and provides SAP customers with a complete view of their IT landscapes. LeanIX recently launched an AI wizard to help companies leverage the potential of generative AI to manage IT landscapes. This increases the level of automation in controlling IT landscapes and lays the foundation for intelligent recommendations in the transformation of IT landscapes of the future.
“Together with LeanIX, we want to offer a unique transformation suite to enable our customers to get holistic support in their business transformations.“

AI tools reinforce the importance of data literacy
The ongoing development of artificial intelligence is currently a hot topic of discussion. Whether as generative AI for text production, image creation or in data analysis, ultimately AI tools and the mechanisms behind them are always based on data. Those who have the skills to interpret and use data and its results correctly have already been one step ahead in recent years. The importance of data competence is likely to increase further in the future - also driven by the AI boom. Currently, the topic of data literacy does not play a major role either in schools or in professional training. However, with the myriad possibilities that generative AI currently offers, it is extremely important to know how to recognize fake information and data and how to contain their spread. Knowledge gaps must be addressed by educational institutions and businesses alike to equip people with the necessary skills. Data literacy will be essential professionally and socially, and workplace learning should become a deliberate and continuous process to meet the future workforce needs for the data-driven world of work.

The panel ensures effective communication between Esker's board of directors and the company's IT managers, who in turn help the board decide on priorities and investments in IT infrastructure to ensure robust cybersecurity defenses.
