SAP CEP service provider connection
For the electrical wholesaler Uni Elektro, which is part of the Würth Group, an efficient shipping process is an important part of ongoing business processes. With a shipment volume of up to 170,000 parcels per year and warehouse, this should guarantee fast delivery of goods to customers.
With the support of Serkem, the shipping processes with the main service provider DPD were now carried out exclusively in SAP. Together with Serkem, Uni Elektro began redesigning the processes for CEP, truck and freight shipping for the service provider DPD at the central warehouse in Eschborn.
In the first step, the target processes and workflows for the "Dispatch optimization" project were developed, then the tasks were divided between the two teams.
Uni Elektro optimized the packing table and integrated the adjustments into the warehouse processes, while the Serkem team took over the CEP connection with native label printing from SAP and the implementation of mobile transactions for intermediate pallets and loading. The shipping process is now carried out entirely in SAP.
All shipping-relevant data is available in one system. The shipping labels are printed directly from SAP without third-party software, the shipping data is exchanged with DPD and the tracking data is stored in the system.
