Supply Chain Act (LkSG) becomes mandatory
The Supply Chain Act is officially known as the Act on Corporate Due Diligence in Supply Chains (Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, LkSG). This legal obligation will come into force on January 1, 2023, and in the first step will apply to companies with more than 3000 employees. In 2024, the regulation will also apply to companies with more than 1000 employees.
The Due Diligence Act was passed in June 2021 to legally regulate corporate due diligence obligations. Many companies are now faced with the question of how to implement these new legal requirements and whether there are already established standards, norms or technical solutions.
Already today, solutions such as EDI and MDM can help with supply chain compliance. Here, there is the possibility of introducing various clauses into existing contracts with business partners. This way, audits and termination rights can be specified. For more information, download Comarch's whitepaper "IT - saving the day when it comes to implementing the Supply Chain Act".
