Azure NetApp Files Now Certified for SAP Hana

This applies to scale-up and scale-out architectures and removes more than just one cloud obstacle. Those who have been running SAP applications and Hana systems in a cloud have often had to accept limitations in performance, latency and scalability.
This is due to suboptimal storage performance and insufficiently scalable shared file storage. NFSv4.1 support in Azure NetApp Files puts an end to this and provides a real performance boost.
Enterprises can now migrate even the most demanding Hana systems and workloads to the Azure cloud faster than ever before and run them there with at least the same performance as on-premises.
Azure NetApp Files is a Microsoft product based on bare-metal cloud file storage from NetApp and hosted in Azure data centers.
It combines the data management services you've come to expect from NetApp Ontap with on-premises performance in the cloud. The solution is tightly integrated.
This eliminates the need for complex high availability management, for example, as it is automatically included in Azure NetApp Files.
Enterprises can migrate their enterprise workloads to the Azure cloud and run them there with the same operational concept that is available to them on-premises with NetApp.
The beauty of this is that customers always have the choice of which workloads they want to run where. With NetApp, data can be replicated quickly and securely across on-premises and cloud infrastructures and used for a variety of purposes from backup to dev/test to analytics.
Azure NetApp Files for Hana is already available at Azure data centers in North America and the UK. Azure sites in Germany and Switzerland will follow in February 2020.
