Book tips - Data protection

Privacy

The European General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) is already casting its long shadows. What will come into force on May 25 throughout the European Union and after the corresponding transition period has been discussed intensively for many months, and not only in the SAP community, and has been the subject of E-3 Magazine. Nevertheless, the lack of clarity and the uncertainty are great. As a recent member survey by the German-speaking SAP User Group (DSAG) shows, many companies feel inadequately prepared for the new EU requirements. This also has to do with the fact that the specific applicability of the legislation will not be specified until the first court rulings are available. However, there are a number of things companies can do to avoid being targeted by the authorities. In the tips in this issue, we introduce you to books that should shed some light on the matter and show you how you can prepare yourself in the best possible way.

" Everyone has the right to respect for his or her private and family life, home and correspondence. " - Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

The End Of Information Control

The end of information control

Users of digital media have fewer and fewer options for controlling data and information. This is where Thilo Hagendorff comes in: He presents innovative media use strategies that expect, or even rather firmly reckon with, the loss of control - and do not rely on vulnerable privacy norms or unreliable data protection technologies.
