On the effective use of time

His 80th birthday is in sight, but Prof. Dr. August-Wilhelm Scheer continues to shape his life as a scientist, entrepreneur, political advisor and (amateur) jazz saxophonist.

The handling of time, the timing, often proves to be decisive for success or lost opportunities - and this applies to each of his roles. In his new book "Timing - vom effektiven Umgang mit der Zeit," August-Wilhelm Scheer uses his own experiences to bring different situations and forms of timing, examples of good, coincidental or even wrong timing, directly to life.

Choosing the right time for actions and coordinating the timing of different activities are Scheer's daily bread. A wrongly chosen moment can have fatal consequences; a right moment is often not chosen consciously at all, but is the result of special coincidences.
