Indirect usage - what SAP customers should do now

Indirect SAP usage occurs when there is a connection between other applications and SAP software.
During the audit, SAP focuses on finding these connections. If SAP discovers something that is not licensed in the process, it becomes expensive. An SAP license management tool performs this analysis fully automatically and shows you where there is still a need for licenses.
For example, user lists for third-party systems are compared with the currently active SAP named user pool to uncover indirect usage. According to the new SAP model for indirect/digital usage, additional licenses are required for all third-party interfaces if they create one of nine document types in SAP.
