Ariba on a Growth Trajectory

More and more buyers and suppliers from around the world are relying on SAP Ariba to digitize their procurement processes. During the second quarter, which ended on June 30, SAP reported a 33 percent increase in new cloud bookings—a result driven in particular by the strong growth in cloud bookings at SAP Ariba. “The role of procurement today is to help the company achieve greater agility, a simplified purchasing experience, and business-to-business commerce that is as automated as possible,” explains Alex Atzberger, President of SAP Ariba. “This cannot be achieved with a patchwork of standalone solutions designed solely as cost-cutting measures. To achieve this, companies need an integrated end-to-end solution that combines the convenience and agility of cloud applications with the power of enterprise applications, as well as the connectivity, intelligence, and global reach of open business networks.”
