Germany after digitization
According to the survey, managers at vehicle manufacturers are the most confident: 86 percent of respondents say that their industry will be among the leaders in digitization in ten years' time (64 percent) or even a global leader (22 percent).
"Due to its size, innovative strength and financial power, the German automotive industry is ideally placed to develop and successfully market digital technologies"
says Bitkom Chief Executive Bernhard Rohleder.
However, new competitors, for example in the development of digitally supported mobility concepts or electromobility, showed that existing market positions are not set in stone.
