Three dimensions
This question is familiar from classic transformation projects, keyword: System Landscape Optimization. The relevant data is mapped using three dimensions:
- the organizational element in an SAP system, e.g. the company code
- the time dimension, e.g. only data from the past two years
- the status of the transaction date, e.g. an open order.
These three dimensions can be used to map all of a company's requirements, regardless of the target release.
